On behalf of this year’s Chapter Next Planning Team, we want to thank you for your continued support over the years for the Chapter Next: Ending Sexual Violence program (Formally "Fear 2 Freedom"). This year was to be our 7th year hosting the program and unfortunately, our registration numbers are very low. After much consideration, the planning team has decided to take some time in Spring 2022 to reevaluate the Chapter Next program and determine what might work best for our campus community and our needs. This was a very difficult decision for our team to make because we care deeply and are invested in the work around ending sexual violence.
We also wanted to take a moment to recognize our amazing campus partners: Women and Gender Studies, Student Support and Advocacy Center, the LEAD Office, Student Involvement, Mason Recreation, Contemporary Student Services, Social Action and Integrative Learning, and Civic Engagement. These amazing departments and their colleagues and students have put in a lot of time and energy into planning the Chapter Next program and we are truly grateful for their commitment to this work.
If you are interested in being part of the planning and discussions moving forward as we reimagine the program for the future, please email one of our planning team partners as we would love to have you as part of our team.
